Today we left the lovely state of Masschuettes and made our way to Canada. We went through Maine, which is a stunning state made of 70% forest and a beautiful river.
We hit the border around 2pm. Unfortunately you cna't take photos there or make jokes about bombs, etc!!! We stopped at the duty free before we crossed to buy some grog (Mint Bailets - $17US) and exchange some cash. Then we had to stop at the border for passport checks. Two of our crew got held up, which sucked cos we didn't get into Quebec until almost 7pm.
Tonight we went into town to have pasta at a French place, which makes no sense at all. Then we went across the road to a club. It was a bit too loud for this old girl, haha! The drinks were $4, really small, really strong and only limited flavours. So now I'm back at the hotel, avoiding my roomate cos she is a little bit nuts!! I know I am too, but she is a bit too weird and annoying even for me!
Tomorrow we are heading into Old Quebec for a tour then we have the afternoon to ourselves. There is so much to do and see I don't know where to begin, so I imagine I will be coming back to Quebec one day!
A little about the tour. It is made up of 3 other modulated tours. My tour finishes in Vancouver and we leave everyone else at 4am on the 2nd!!! :O One of the other groups finishes in Chicago and the 3rd one stops in LA. There are about 52 people currently on the coach. It's a little crowded but so much fun! And I've finally learnt how to sleep in a moving vehicle, though I will be buying a pillow before I head back to Auckland.
I hope the kids are all doing well and please will someone video Music Feste for me!
