Today was fantastic!!! We started with a bus tour around some of the touristy parts of Quebec. We had to get out at Parliament house and it was fucking cold...so much for being winter!!! Then we split up and went on a walking tour of Old Quebec. It is the largest walled city north of Mexico. It was just beautiful.
We looked at heaps of beautiful buildings, most which have been rebuilt in the 19th century. We also went into a Catholic church, which amazingly didn't fall down. We got told mass was going on in there...it was actually a funeral!!!
After the tour we broke up for lunch and I went with a couple of the crew to a place called Le Cochon Dingue, which means the crazy pig. I ate a ham, cheese and tomato toastie, with bechamel sauce and it was amazingly delicious!!!
We toured around, checked out some sights, rode the elevator to the 17th floor of a very flash Chateau! We later went on a guided tour through it which was just awesome. I bought another t-shirt, a few more postcards and another gift...but you'll have to wait and see who it is for :P
This arvo we came back to the hotel to warm up. I cracked my duty free Baileys then walked up and down the halls inviting people to a room party, hehe!!! I got a few around. My roommate got smashed off 3 drinks, hence why I am hiding online until she passes out!
Eventually we had to pack up and go into town for dinner. We stopped at this great little bar. Yes mum, I did eat some food. Again...very nice!
I've come back now and just repacked my suitcase as we are heading off to Montreal tomorrow. I was packing my SkyJump stuff and just found out that I have a DVD named Ben. I can't watch it on the computer here, so hopefully my new Kiwi friend will let me use her laptop tomorrow!
Tomorrow half the tour is going Jetboating. I will be checking out Old Montreal instead...I'm too chicken shit to get in a fast boat and get extremely wet considering the miserable weather today. At least I will have time away from my roommate and she can whinge to someone else in her hung over state! I really should see if I can get my roomie changed once we arrive in Vancouver on the 3rd.
